Products Description of Trichloroethylene CAS# 79-01-6

Trichloroethylene (TCE), alternatively named trichloroacetylide, is a colorless volatile liquid with a faint sweet odor and excellent solubility. It is insoluble in water but miscible with organic solvents such as ethanol and ether, and non-flammable under normal circumstances. Thanks to its moderate boiling point, high vapor pressure, and strong stability – coupled with suitability for gas washing – it is industrially applied for metal cleaning (achieving thorough degreasing) and fiber degreasing.
