Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) industrial grade has a purity of ≥ 99%. It is a flammable, colorless and transparent oily liquid with an aromatic odor.

Its key physical properties are as follows: melting point of -35℃, boiling point of 338℃, vapor pressure of 0.014Pa (at 25℃), and relative density of 1.045 (at 20℃).

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is utilized as a plasticizer in various plastic materials, and also finds application in cosmetics, safety glass, insecticides, printing inks, paper coatings, adhesives, elastomers, and explosives.

It serves as a solvent in polysulfide dental impression materials and perfume oils, acts as a perfume fixative, textile lubricating agent, and solid rocket propellant.

Additionally, it functions as an emollient in aerosol antiperspirants and an insect repeller.
