Ammonium Molybdate
Products Description of Ammonium molybdate CAS#13106-76-8
Ammonium molybdate appears as a colorless, white, or slightly greenish-yellow powder. It is primarily used in chemical analysis to determine phosphorus content. When added to a nitric acid solution, it reacts with phosphorus to form ammonium phosphomolybdate (formula: (NH₄)₃PO₄·12MoO₃), which is then dried at 110°C (230°F) for quantification. Additionally, some types of phosphomolybdic acids derived from it are used as reagents for detecting alkaloids, and in the analysis and separation of alkali metals.

Product Application of Ammonium molybdate CAS#13106-76-8
Ammonium molybdate (CAS No. 13106-76-8) is an important type of molybdate. Thanks to its water solubility and complexation properties, it has wide applications across multiple fields: in the chemical industry, it acts as a refining catalyst, an additive for metal surface treatment, and a raw material for pigments; in agriculture, it is used as a molybdenum fertilizer to promote nitrogen fixation in leguminous plants and added to ruminant feed; in materials science, it is applied to prepare molybdenum-based materials and assist in the separation of rare earths.
