Ammonium molybdate tetrahydrate(NH₄)₆Mo₇O₂₄·4H₂Ois an inorganic compound, being the most common hydrated form of heptamolybdate ammonium. It is widely used in the fields of catalysts, metallurgy, agriculture and analytical chemistry. It is in the form of colorless or pale yellow-green monoclinic crystals. It is prone to weathering in the air. When heated to 90℃, it loses its crystalline water, and at 190℃, it decomposes into ammonia, water and molybdenum trioxide.
