Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) is a new type of fungicide imported to China from Europe. As a member of isothiazolinone organic compounds, it can inhibit the growth and reproduction of various microorganisms—including bacteria, fungi, and yeasts (per Chemicalbook data). It is a widely used broad-spectrum fungicide. Compared with other types of fungicides, isothiazolinone fungicides offer advantages such as significant efficacy, rapid action, effective regulation of microbial growth and metabolism, and prevention of biofilm formation.
